Chapter 9


Billy apologizes to the fallen tree and says he has to cut it down because he doesn't really want to cut the tree down, but he needs to finish the goal he made with his two dogs, which is to catch a coon together. The coon they want to catch is on the top of that tree, so he has to cut it down. Billy doesn't really want to cut that tree because it is so tiring to cut a tree. Sometimes he even can not hold the ax. He put in lots of effort in order to get these dogs, so he loves his two dogs so much. He really wants to finish the goal between himself and his dogs. I think that his apology to the tree is not really an apology. It is just a kind of way to show that he made it. He finishes the goal. He could have also climbed the tree, but it is dangerous.
There are lots of hard decisions you need to make in your lifetime. For example, when you want to buy a pair of shoes, you have two options, but you like both of them so much. However, you can only get one pair. It is so hard to make this decision. For me, the hardest decision I have ever made is to choose a sport for the autumn season.
It happened last year when I was 15 years old. I came to the United States for high school. I used to study in China. The rules here are much more different than in China. We need to choose a sport to play for the autumn season. I had two options: the first one was to join the basketball team and the other one was to join cross country.  I wanted to join basketball because basketball is my favorite sport. But I’m not good at it. I may have an advantage when I play basketball around the people the same age as me but not on the basketball team. I’m not a guard, and also I’m not the tallest or strongest in our team. So I knew couldn't get lots of court time. I wanted to join cross country because I’m good at this sport. I’m a good runner. So if I joined this team, I could participate more instead of be a sub. It was a hard decision to make. I chose to join the basketball team at last because I love this sport. I still think it was an important decision to make right now because basketball is my favorite sport.

Christmas gift

        Christmas is coming, the most important thing we care about is Christmas gift. The first gift I want is to a month we don't need to go to school. Because is boring these days. We are in the mid-term of school. The mid-term exam is coming. So we have many tests and quizzes have us to review. I need to review for lots of subjects. I'm so tired. I really want to take a break and have a rest. I want to stay in my bed and watch some fun videos and play computer games for the whole day. I don't want to study at all.  The other gift I want is to have a trip to Los Angles. I really want to go to Los Angles with my parents because there are a Disney park and a universal studio. Year of 2020

2019 was a very good year. I go to America in high school. I was accepted by the Webb School and glad to be the student of the Webb School. I made lots of new friends and have a good grade. Everything is pretty good. On December 31st, I had a big meal with my family to celebrate the New Year and we watched the New Year Eve together. I also played games with my brother. We had a great time. At 12.00am for Jan 1st, I post some pictures which I think are memorable for me in 2019.
